I was called to come in to the Asheboro NC office for an interview. I completed the interview, but failed the in-house drug screen.

I am on medication that caused me to fail. I explained this to the person interviewing me, she stated she had to send me to an urgent care facility to take the test. I had no problem with this, I knew it was my meds. However, when i arrived at the urgent care, I was told by the nurse, it was a SUPERVISED DRUG SCREEN!!!

This was NOT stated by the office. The staff at urgent care even said this was the only company who required SUPERVISED DRUG SCREENS. I completed the test, of course, it came back ok. I was very very upset that this was not mentioned so I researched it.

This was actually a PRIVACY VIOLATION. A couple weeks later I was called to go on an interview, the person who called was the same person. I asked her specifically if it was temp to hire. She stated yes.

I tried to find out the hours, she said, "I'll just let them explain that to you." I got to the interview, the job was NOT temp to hire, nor was it even full time! No set schedule at all. Basically a fill in position with as little as 12hrs a week! I was highly upset at this point so I went to the office.

It turned out the person who I was dealing with was the office manager! I spoke with her about my concerns. I told her people on supervised probation don't have to submit a supervised urinalysis. She stated unapologetically it was corporate requirement and people on supervised probation didn't have anything to do with it.

(I guess she couldn't comprehend this was used as an example in an attempt for her to understand how humiliating this was.) She tried to brush this off and was completely nonchalant about such an invasive incident. I also mentioned to her that I looked on their website, there are several positions I am more than qualified for, I had called and requested to be considered for them but I received no response. She blatantly admitted that they do post jobs that they DO NOT HAVE. She stated this was so they could have a "pool" of applicants to select from when they do get a call for the job.

(Isn't this false advertising?) I went on to tell her I felt I had been mislead about the recent interview. She claimed the company told her it would be a hire position and I wasn't selected because I told the interviewers I had to have 32hrs a week. When she and I initially spoke, I was very clear about seeking full time, temp to hire positions. She became agitated with our conversation.

At this point, I just simply looked at her and said, Thank you, have a good day. This office withholds pertinent information and mislead their clients.

They openly admit to lying about positions they have posted. How can anyone trust them with their livelihood?

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Location: Mount Airy, North Carolina

If you are on probation and failed one drug test with them already, you are actually quite lucky they were considering you at all.

If you were offended by the supervised drug test, you could have declined.

As far as posting fake jobs, it's not illegal and staffing agencies do that all the time, in order to bring in a pool of candidates they can market to potential and current client companies. Bottom line: no one should depend on a temp agency to find them work.

You have to make your own way. Find your own job.

Let me clarify... I AM NOT ON PROBATION.

That was used as a COMPARISON ONLY. I worked in law enforcement, that's how I am familiar with it. That was the point. Here it is, a little temp agency wanting a supervised drug screen?

Ridiculous! I have already written off temp agencies and have no difficulties finding my own job.

As most people know, Alot of companies are using temp agencies to find an employee. This saves the company money by not paying benefits and avoiding hiring the wrong person.

Let me clarify... I am not on probation.

That was simply used as a COMPARISON as mentioned above. If you are going to respond, at least read the post. For that matter, worker's compensation does not require a supervised urinalysis nor do state or federal jobs. So why would a little temp agency?

I have no difficulties finding my own job. As most people know, reputable companies do use temp agencies to avoid the hiring costs and paying benefits. Sometimes it is necessary to use a temp agency. Also, Thank you for confirming they do post jobs they do NOT HAVE.

This confirms they are lying and supports why should anyone trust this company with their livelihood? This post was made in an attempt to warn other job seekers and potential clients who would not want their company name dragged through the mud.
