Nothing goes beyond the interviewing process.

I applied, had an interview, submitted a drug test was given a business card and told by the recruiter I be contacted if a position became available. After a few days I decided to follow up. I found out that that particular recruiter no longer works there. Communication is terrible. I have employment longevity, skills and an education. I have been seeking employment with them for awhile and I am yet to be placed anywhere.

Had an interview, was going well till another guy came in and started hitting on the girl that was interviewing me,she was the only one working that day,she did my drug test which I past and said we would go over the job I applied for but when the other guy came in she told me I could go and she would email me.I left and never heard from her ..One more reason to hate staffing agencies I received a copy of my background check that they got and nothing was found so no reason to not get back to me .Need 100 word to add this review so I guess if you hit on your interviewer then you get job if not then you don't

Avoid at all costs

Avoid this company. They will place you in sub standard work assignments.

Warehouse assignments will most likely pay very poorly for the amount of work you will be expected to complete. Note that the quality of warehouse managers is often lacking. They routinely abuse their employees. Express won't care about that.

They are only interested in making their clients (companies the contract with) happy, which is to be expected. Express will not represent you if you leave an assignment early without giving them 48 hours notice, which is within their right as an employer. Just be aware that they will place you in some truly awful places without any concern for your well-being.

All in all, they are no different from any other temp agency. I recommend avoiding this agency and all others if you can.

These people are absolutely useless!!!

I've never been a big fan of employment agencies but sometimes you do what you have to do to find work. I applied with Express in late Oct. 2017 at the Covington GA office. The interview process went well and seemed to be positive. Within a few day, my file was sent to the Athens, GA office. I talked with someone there in early November 2017 several times. In summary, as of late March 2018, I've not heard a single word about anything other than "I'll send your resume' to a company and get back to you". Problem is that they never get back to you. My personal recommendation is that if you feel you must use a staffing agency, look elsewhere because the people at Express are totally useless. I'm calling them to withdraw my application and to toss my resume' in the trash. I no longer want them to keep me in their system and to go ahead and red flag me.

Express Employment Orlando, FL...llegal practices!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I found a job posting on Indeed from Express and applied. Robin Battle contacted me back and long story short, got the job! Hired for $14/hr...great!! Went to the job site, clocked in, watched some videos, did a few test and tried out the machine I would be working on. Well, didnt like the machine nor did I feel comfortable with the working enviornment. Finished the day and called Express to say thanks but no thanks, I will find something else. A week later, I call to see if my 1 day of work check was ready for pick up. I was told I will NOT be paid because I was in training on day 1 and Express does not pay for training unless you work 40 hours. Excuse me??!! I clocked in, did my time and required tasks, clocked out...call it what you want but that is WORK!!! You guys owe me, I said. They rudely explained to me its a policy and I wont get paid! So I asked for the manager/owner...Lisa Seralli. Lisa said it is company policy. Well its invisible because its not in the employee handbook nor did I see such policy in ANY paperwork I read and signed! I already knew this was an illegal tactic most likely used a thousand times on unaware working folks. I know my rights Mrs. Lisa Seralli and Robin Battle...I will NOT be stolen from! So I informed Mrs. Lisa Seralli that this is illegal per labor laws, I worked and I am owed compensation for my time working. Lisa told me to check my facts and learn the law, Express does not owe me money for training hours! So, I took her advice and went a step beyond. I called the labor department of Orlando!! An agent told me that Express would be violating federal law if they refused to pay me and that I was correct about Florida labor laws. The agent said she would love to speak with Lisa Seralli and hear from her that Express didnt have to me so she could straighten her facts out about labor laws! Take that Lisa!! Next thing I know, I get an email from Robin Battle at Express..."you can pick up your check next week but we are only paying a rate of 8.10 since you didnt want the job." Ummmm, whatever Robin!!! Its not the money, its the principal. I worked, I want my pay....simple and plain!! For me to be made upset and file a complaint with the labor department just to get whats already mines is simply ridiculous!!! What they attempted to do was illegal and they do it ALL the time I bet on that!! Some folks are just complacent and accept such nonsense but I urge folks to KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!!! If your not sure or suspect some shadiness, do some research and make phone calls! Never just lay down and get screwed!! As for the shady and illegal business tactics...Express Employment will get whats coming to them!! Owners David and Lisa Seralli of Express Employment in Orlando, FL on Sandlake Rd...SHAME ON YOU for the cowardly behavior and illegal actions of training a staff to ROB and STEAL from honest hardworking people who choose not to work with your company and move on elsewhere. Just because I did not like what you offered and chose to take a better offer doesnt give you a right to try and steal my money. Because I know you billed that client and I would of surely gotten a W2 in tax season for the 1 day and pay taxes on money I never received. The nerve of these people... hahaha...nice try Express!!

Signed up September 2017, Timothy Brinson said he had a few jobs available. Never heard back even though called in available. I was a lead over their employees at last job. Qualified with good resume. Feel black balled because I asked for 15 per hour minimum 14. Furthermore last job Express paid 14 through Columbus McKinnon. It is now January 30th, 2018 and I have not been placed

Salt Lake City Express Employment

Not given the correct information and when we committed to work for Express on Saturday, Oct 7, 2017 and then you told today “don’t worry about it I have enough people to work” when I confirmed yesterday Oct 2, 2017, with you and you tell me we are good to work, this is not how you do business…… I know what I told you and several other employees at that office, which is that I already have another job Monday - Friday and can help out when needed during the morning and weekends that doesn’t mean I can be treated the way we have been treated. just dropped like a hot potato....

If you were doing your job right you would have asked me a month ago if we had food handlers permit, not 3 days before the job. Since the day my husband and I went into the Salt Lake Office they have deposited someone else's paycheck onto my paycard, several people from the SLC office that keep calling to ask what our availability is when I have called several times and gave that information.

That office is so unorganized, lack communication skills, Etc. We are both DONE with Express Employment!!!!

I HIGHLY suggest not to work here. POOR organization skills, POOR management and they're liars. They even lied to an employer I had an interview with. I regret EVER working with them. If you live in Oklahoma, avoid the one off NW Expressway in OKC. I called up to find out an update about a job, and Debbie, the office manager told me to basically stop calling. THAT IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I would not have to call if you guys learned how to do your job!!!!

Exspress employment lies

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The first day i started they told me that some companies may hire the same day which did happen but instead of exspress let me end my contract they made me work 720 hrs before letting get full time. Then just when i get the full hrs i got hurt on the job and they have not let me go back to work for the same company. That's dirty! I should not have had to wait. They lie and cheat you out of money! Dr said i could go back to work light duty and exspress is not letting me. I think they want me to loose job so they can keep making money using me at another job. They suck!

Job Counselor using punishment of job restricting for not following unexplained directions. Cost job seeker 50,000 + in wage losses.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On 21st of April, I noticed a job posting on the state job boards for information Services Technician. I put in for the job and noticed I had to contact Express Personnel Services, as it appeared the job was to work for them.

On Monday, 24 April, I went in to conduct, what I perceived as, an interview. No one addressed the fact that I was contracting with Express Personnel Services, for getting a job and had to go through them for any comunique with potential employers. I asked Donelle if this job was for Express Personnel Services, from which Donelle related this was for Centralia City, who needed an Information Services Technician for as department. I then went to conduct some tests.

I made recontact with the job counselor after the testing and asked if there was anything else. Donelle said there was nothing and that I could go. There was nothing about not contacting potential employers, going around the job counselor to talk with an employer or any kind of other "do-nots', whihc may subject a person to dismissal from interviewing with potential employments. On 25 April, I contacted EPS and asked the receptionist to please have Donnelle contact me, so that I could find out about what I needed to do for the interview for the Cnetralia City.

The day went by with no contact. On April 26th, I hadn't heard anything from the Express Personnel Service personnel and was getting curious as to what was going on. I once again, contacted the Centralia office and talked to Rachelle, the receptionist. She explained that the job counselor was busy and couldn't talk, but I could leave another message.

By the afternoon, no one had maded any effort to call back. I decided that I would check the town website to see if any job postings were open, which matched the one I was wondering about, through Express Personnel. Centralia had the job opening posted on their website and stated that an application needed to be posted, along with a resume and cover letter. I decided, since they don't want to call, I would have to move ahead and get the ball rolling.

I did the paperwork and got the forms emailed in. In addition, I called their HR and aked if anything else needed to be pout in as I was putting in for the Information Systems position. The HR personnel thought I wanted to talk with a Mr. Marc B.

as he would be the best person to talk to. I was immediately connected with Mr. B. He told me that the application, a resume and a cover letter were great and told me he woud call ME the next day.

I said, "ok". Mr. B. also told me to try and contact Donnelle to let ther know that I had talked with him.

I did exactley that. Again, I had to leave a message as Donelle was busyy or out of the office. I called again on 27 April to see if Donelle was in. Again, she was in meetings, and couldn't be bothered.

I left another message on her phone to please call, as I wanted to keep here in the loop. At around 3:00 PM, I got a call from Donelle telling me that I had broken the rules and that she had told Mr. B that I was not eligible for the job, that I had gone around her, and I was being punished for not following the rules. WHAT RULES??

No one gave me ANY sheet stating (Or verbal for that matter) that no potential employee is allowed to talk to any employer without first going through the job counselor. Because of this, I am now out of a job, whihc had the potential of making $50,000+ thousand a year. I can understand an error in communication, but ruining someone's career tells me that his person has a power problem and needs to be removed from their position.

I am not a little child, who needs punishing, especially when the job counselor DIDN'T cover the rules for Express Personnels policies for proper contact before hand. I might have to talk to a lawyer on this one.

Worked with company one time at an heavy duty labor position. Never called again with any solid work. Don't waste your time. Numerous other agencies actually want to earn money putting people to work (with more job options) than these guys.
