Information Selling?
From what I have read on this board, if they don't find many people work then this company can't be making too much money from taking some of the workers' wages.
I filled out the most extensive paperwork in that office, and they have some very sensitive data on me and many others
My big concern is that their primary profits come from selling very sensitive data, not from finding people jobs.
I understand that part of a hiring process is disclosing personal information. What really troubles me is the paper you have to sign that allows them to release it to any potentially interested company. Who exactly qualifies as a potentially interested company.
As a resident of Florida where there is the highest identity theft rate in the states, I am starting to feel a bit ill. Let's just hope I am overly paranoid. I will be monitoring everything and starting to wonder about the prudence in honesty these days. Maybe such loss of privacy is the price of finding work these days.

Corporate resale rep Bill Thomson is a clueless ***
I responded to a business listing for a staffing business for sale. Sounded great as it was doing almost $1.8Mill in revenue and selling for $125K. So what is the catch? Well u have to fork over 8% to the corporate office leaving very little for the poor husband and wife team hustling all the businesses and staff recruits. No wonder noone wants to buy it.
So i asked Bill what is the advantage express pro has over other chains and local offices? And why does this couple want to sell after only 2 yrs running their office, and why did the other franchisee in the neighboring town want to see but couldnt, so ended up closing down??
I guess that was just too much for ol Bill?? He told me i was wasting his time and i should go with another staffing franchise, LOL
Bill, you are supposed to be a salesman, you cant even answer those obvious questions any prospect should be asking you? You are pathetic.
False Advertising
When I spoke to Kurshell, one of the employees at Express, she told they had several jobs for me so I made a appointment for an interview. My impression was not good.
Office was decorated somewhere between grandma's house & the circus. Not a very professional environment. Waited 15 minutes for Kurshell to get off her cell phone. When she finally decided to come over & introduce herself I was blown away at her unprofessional appearance.
She looked like an Emo Punk Rock girl with long hair on one side & a tight buzz on the other... piercings all over her. She asked me a whole two questions & told me all the jobs were filled already although, their sign outside advertising they had openings in my field. False advertising??
If you want to work then don't waste your time here. I also know some other people who also recently registered with this agency & told me they haven't had any job offers even though they were told otherwise like me. I registered with another agency & what a complete difference! Professional office, people & I was greeted right away & treated with respect.
They have already found work for me. My dream job really was at Spherion!!!

That is my concern, they ask for SS#, DOB, Drivers license and a copy of these documents, then no employment what is the personal, information collected for?? I request find me work then ask for these documents, I am very, very concerned I'm not feeling good about all this personal ID Collection only to not hear from them or have a position lined up.
Normally, this is collected in orientation or once a job is offered. We have to keep our eyes open on this one, especially with identity theft so prevalent.
